1. Who we are

StrongHer with Meredith is a New Zealand-based coaching and wellbeing business supporting women through perimenopause and menopause.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "we", "us" and "StrongHer" refer to StrongHer with Meredith.

2. What information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with StrongHer.

  • Phone number

  • Date of birth or age, where relevant

  • Information you provide when you contact us or register for a programme or workshop

  • Medical information obtained from the PAR-Q+ intake form 

Programme and wellbeing information

If you participate in coaching or a StrongHer programme, you may choose to provide information about your:

  • Perimenopause or menopause experience

  • Symptoms and wellbeing

  • Lifestyle and habits

  • Exercise and movement

  • Nutrition

  • Goals and priorities

  • Relevant health or medical information that you choose to share with us

We only collect information that is relevant to providing and supporting the service you have chosen.

Payment information

When you purchase a product, programme or workshop, payment information is processed through our payment provider. We do not generally have access to or store your full payment card details.

Website and technical information

When you use our website, we may collect information such as:

Where we collect health or wellbeing information, we use it only for purposes connected with providing and supporting the service you have chosen, or where otherwise permitted by law.

4. Is providing information voluntary?

Providing some information is necessary for us to provide particular services.

For example, we need your contact and payment information to process a purchase and communicate with you about your booking.

Where we ask for health or wellbeing information, we will explain why we are asking for it. You can choose not to provide information unless it is necessary for us to provide the service.

If you choose not to provide information that is necessary for a particular service, we may not be able to provide that service or provide it safely and effectively.

5. How we use health and wellbeing information

StrongHer programmes may involve discussions about perimenopause, menopause, wellbeing, exercise, nutrition and lifestyle.

Any health or wellbeing information you provide is treated as private and will only be used for purposes connected with providing your coaching or programme, unless you give permission for another use or disclosure, or disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.

We do not sell your personal or health information.

6. Who we share your information with

We only share your personal information where necessary to provide our services, operate our business, process transactions, or where you have given permission or we are required or permitted to do so by law.

Depending on the services you use, this may include trusted service providers such as:

  • Website and hosting providers

  • Payment providers

  • Booking and scheduling platforms

  • Email and communications platforms

  • Online meeting or programme delivery platforms

  • Website analytics and technology providers

  • Professional advisers where necessary

These providers may process information on our behalf in providing their services.

We will not share your health or wellbeing information with your doctor, healthcare provider, employer, family member or another third party without your permission unless we are required or permitted to do so by law.

7. Group programmes and workshops

Some StrongHer programmes involve group discussions.

You are never required to share personal information that you do not wish to share.

We ask participants to respect the privacy of others and not to share another participant's personal information or experiences outside the group.

However, because group participants are independent individuals, we cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality. Please consider this when deciding what personal information you choose to share in a group setting.

8. Marketing communications

If you choose to subscribe to StrongHer marketing communications, we may send you information about:

  • StrongHer programmes and workshops

  • New resources and services via our newsletter 

  • Events

  • Offers and promotions

  • Relevant wellbeing and menopause content

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.

We will continue to send essential communications relating to services you have purchased where necessary.

9. Cookies and website analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help the website function, understand how visitors use the site and improve our services.

We may use third-party analytics or advertising tools where appropriate such as:

  • SquareSpace

11. How long we keep your information

We retain personal information only for as long as we reasonably need it for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide our services, maintain appropriate business records, or meet legal or regulatory requirements.

When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete or dispose of it. We determine the date where information is no longer needed to be 12 months after the last transaction or purchase on the StrongHer website or interaction with a StrongHer Coach. 

12. Accessing and correcting your information

You have the right to ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you and to request that we correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
